Autumn Equinox Prayer

Daylight and nighttime meet
Resting side by side
With steady presence
Light and dark stand still
A mirror to the other
A moment of balance
Within the stretch of time
Ever spiralling and spinning
Stories of eternity
At the centre of the storm
The Beloved holds space
To receive the full spectrum
Of the human heart
Gently receiving
The searing pain of grief
And broken dreams of humanity
Yet our fragile hopes still long
To trust the uncertainty
Believe in the Great Mystery
That we each remember
Our innate unity
Be inspired with bravery
To reach into the dark
To drink deeply
From the well within
Holding the light
Through it all
That it finds a ways
To shatter our illusions
Creeping through the cracks
To illuminate the path
And guide each soul
To walk in peace on earth
In harmony, all hearts as One.
