Brave Space

What does it mean to create and facilitate an inclusive space for others.

I’m listening into the language that speaks a wider more inclusive truth.

Yes, we can sincerely hope to create a safe space but we do not actually know what 'to be safe’ means for each person, plus the reality is that we live in a world where there is simply no guarantee of safety.

What we can do is offer and build the conditions and culture for brave space - held by clear agreements, full presence and compassion where we welcome honesty, transparency and vulnerability and seek to hold the multiple truths and realities of everyone’s experience.

Safety is a luxury, it’s not a guarantee, but bravery is alive inside every heart and together we can choose to light up our community and healing spaces with a more real and inclusive invitation.

Grateful for this ever unfolding journey of listening and unlearning and relearning with Sianna Sherman, the Rasa Yoga Collective and Michelle Johnson at Skill in Action.
