To the Mountains…

A part of me always longs to be in the mountains, yearning for that sublimity, omnipresent in these extraordinary lands.

The feeling of smallness amongst the rising body of the mountains and the tumbling valleys, it’s comforting to be lost in nature in this way. Simultaneously my whole being is stretched wide, cracked open in awe of the vastness which helps me remember all that I am and dissolves all that I am not.

My heart breathes with relief and my body sighs away worries that were never mine to hold.

The ache of longing is part of learning to live within the vibration of love, to be love, through both pain and fear, and it guides us deeper into the textures of our shared humanity and reveals a more intense experience of feeling.

This endless living landscape reflects back to me the boundless nature of my inner terrain, and in truth, one is not separate from the other. It gives room to see, and space for clarity so that confusion can fall away. Nature teaches us how to be and how to love, it invites us to show up for our lives and the world in a way that is pure, fearless, resilient and free.

To the Mountains,

Your vast embrace

Wide and fearless

Is a mirror to the heart

Reaching out to remind

The yearning to trust

The winding path
Of the soul

To ride the waves

With courage and strength

To listen beyond

What is seen and heard

To the silence

And the stillness

That aims an arrow

For us to follow

Into the unknown

Caverns of potentiality

Held deep within

Ever present

Awaiting our arrival home.
